Arthur Cauty is a multi award-winning filmmaker & photographer.
Cauty’s films have earned numerous Vimeo Staff Picks, official selections for BAFTA & Academy Award qualifying film festivals Raindance, Encounters, Aesthetica, Indy Shorts, Odense & Cleveland International Film Festivals, as well as features in Director’s Notes, Film Shortage, National Geographic, Booooooom TV, BBC & Huffington Post. He won first prize in the documentary category at My Røde Reel, and a People's Choice Award at the Musicbed Reopen Challenge. His acclaimed feature documentary A Royal Hangover starring Russell Brand was released on Amazon Prime after a Los Angeles premiere and successful festival run. His films have screened at theaters from North Hollywood's Laemmle to Adelaide's Piccadilly, Bristol's formerly defunct IMAX and esteemed Watershed & Everyman Cinemas.
In addition to filmmaking, Cauty is a virtuoso cinematographer, crafting beautiful cinematic stock footage used by the likes of Warner Bros, Paramount, Disney, 20th Century Fox, NBC Universal, Netflix, HBO, Amazon, BBC, ABC, TBS, CBS, CNBC, Fox, Vice, Channel 4, ITV, Discovery Channel, National Geographic, Sony, Microsoft, Time, Forbes & The New York Times.
Prior to directing, he worked as a camera operator and editor with BAFTA award-winning director Tal Rosner on abstract film accompaniments for The Pet Shop Boys & London’s Sadler’s Wells Theatre, Miami’s New World Symphony Orchestra, and on live sports coverage for Fox Sports, Sky & CNBC.
He has written articles on filmmaking for Raindance and Music Vine. He lives in Bristol, and in his spare time enjoys the outdoors, travel, and making music.
